SMSC in the community

Recognising the growing need for accessible community sport, we launched SMSC In the Community, a registered charitable partner, in January 2024. This initiative specifically addresses barriers faced by residents in East Merton. We’ve since launched a free Friday night basketball programme (20 regular attendees), a girls-only basketball session (12 weekly participants), and a free Friday evening football session supporting 30 underprivileged young people. These projects are transforming lives through free, consistent, and inclusive access to sport.
